Gallery Wall: Free Fern Printables

On Monday on the blog, I shared the mini makeover that I helped my mom with in the guest bedroom at their house in OR. One of the main things she wanted was a larger and more appropriate sized art piece for one of the walls in the room, because the existing picture was way too small. My solution? Creating a fern gallery wall using nine free fern printables, because who doesn't love the words: free, gallery wall and ferns!

Now, the whole project wasn't technically free, but by having the fern printables it makes the project a lot more affordable than buying fern prints from a store. The fern printables (link to download at the bottom of page) can either be printed from your own printer at home, or you can print them to a local grocery store or drugstore. I chose to do the latter of the two and had them printed at  Fred Meyers in the 8 x10 size but you could also print them as large as 11 x 14.

As for the frames, we bought them from Hobby Lobby when they were 50% off. They are off white and are a little distressed on the edges which make them go well with the aged looking prints.

Then I just used the existing chair that was already in the corner, added a blanket and pillow to it and called it good!

What do you think? Pretty easy, and makes a nice statement, right? My mom was pleased with it, so it was a success in my books!  If you want to create your own click here to download the fern prints:

  3. Another thing to consider is frame size and color. Make sure that the frames are not overpowering the wall and that the colors are in keeping with the rest of the room. aesthetic photos
