Update

Hi friends!! Oh how I've missed you all! I feel like I haven't blogged in forever so it feels great to be back on here. I have a lot of blog posts lined up about projects around the home in the next upcoming weeks, so before that I thought I would jump on here and give a quick update about what's been going on in the past few weeks before I jump to all that fun stuff! 

Two weeks ago my hubby and I went on a cruise with my family that stopped in Grand Cayman and Cozumel. We had a great time and it was so nice getting away from Michigan's cold weather and soaking up some sun. I didn't take many pictures during the trip because I like to stay off my phone on vacations these days, but I did snap one while on the catamaran in Grand Cayman and while at dinner in Tampa. 

 During this catamaran trip we got to snorkel over a vessel ship that was sunk in 65 ft. water in 2011, which was really neat to see. I love snorkeling and being on the water, so this was probably my favorite part of the trip. 

 We got home from our trip on Easter morning at 12:30 am, and slept in and then headed to my in-laws where we had brunch at the local University Club which was delicious. We couldn't stay very long afterwards though, because my husband had a flight the following morning at 5:30AM for work. Paul was gone all last week for work, and I had big plans for projects around the house .... but then I got sick and he got sick in Baltimore so I spent all the extra time I had last week on the couch.  As bummed as I was that I couldn't get to projects,  not going to lie, it was kind of nice to just relax and sleep and have the house to myself:) 

When Paul got home, not much changed lol This past weekend we set a new record in Paul's and mine relationship. It was the first time in 4.5 years that we did NOTHING over the weekend. Like literally nothing.  Paul was still quite sick so we just camped out on the couch all day Saturday and the majority of the day Sundayand just slept, watched movies and countless hours of HGTV, and drank tea. We found out on Monday that he has bronchitis and got him some medicine, so hopefully he will be on the mend now! 

 As for me, I’m feeling much better now so I’m ready to jump back into home projects! If you follow me onInstagram, you have seen that on that list includes painting this media cabinet! I have it all prepped, but I’m waiting for a little nicer weather so I can prime it outside. It’s laminate, so I will be writing a tutorial on how I painted it, so stay tuned!

On Instagram I also shared this new piece of artwork that recently was delivered, and I absolutely love it! Next week it will appear in a blog post, but until then, want to guess where it’s going to go?  

Speaking of next week, I along with 25 bloggers are doing spring room tours, and I'm sharing my living room so make sure to come back next week to check that out! I will be working the rest of this week to get everything finished so I’m excited to be sharing the space and all the changes I’ve recently made!
