You guys! Christmas is only 13 days away! If you haven't already, it's time to get your Christmas tablescapes put together! I've teamed up with Hayneedle to create my Christmas dining table and to share with you all of my must-haves for this look that can all still be delivered in time for Christmas!
When creating this look for our Christmas dining table I knew that I wanted it to be festive and look very Christmas-y, yet have it be more on the simple side and utilize some classic tablescape pieces that I could use for other occasions.
When it came to color scheme, I stuck with whites, greens, reds and silver. As much as I love an all neutral tablescape, when it comes to Christmas I'm all about the traditional colors. I just think it feels so much more festive!
The first thing I did was pair these white napkins from Hayneedle with a napkin ring and some cranberry picks that I already owned. I love white napkins because they are very versatile and will work with any Christmas tablescape I come up with in following years. Plus, I don't have to wear about any stains that guests might put on them as I can bleach them!
Underneath the napkin I layered a my bone china dinner plate and salad plate that I only bring out for special occasions. Then to give the place setting more texture (and to protect the table) I used my rattan chargers.
Next I used these beautiful candlesticks that come in a set of 3. I love the ambience that candles give to a space, so they are always a must for me when designing my table decor, and especially when it comes to Christmas. These candlesticks also give nice height to the decor and help to balance out the sparkled trees, as well as give it a little more bling. Also, since they are so slender they don't impede from people being able to see each other from across the table which is also a bonus.
It isn't Christmas without a Christmas wreath.. or two, right? Since our dining table is centered with our back sliding door, I decided this year to hang two wreaths that I got from Hayneedle on the two panels and am in LOVE how it turned out. I think it really ties everything together and makes the space look extra festive. It will definitely be a must-have for me every Christmas in the future!
To hang the fir wreaths, I just picked up some ribbon from Marshalls and looped it around the wreath and used a brad nail at the top of the door frame to secure it in place. For such an simple decoration and only costing less than $20 per wreath, it really makes a big statement.
Now that my tablescape is all set and ready for Christmas thanks to Hayneedle, I'm excited to throw our Christmas party this weekend so that it can get some good use! What do you think? What are your must-haves for your Christmas tablescapes?
