Ikea Rast Hack Ideas

The other week on the blog, I shared my design plans for our guest bedroom makeover. Within the design I mentioned how we will be stealing the nightstands that are currently in our master bedroom, and putting them in the other guest room. Our current nightstands that are in our room are from Meijers, a grocery store in MI, and they are too dark and short for our current bedroom design so it's time to find them a new home across the hallway. As a result, we will need new nightstands for our bedroom.  Months ago, I picked up two RAST Chests from Ikea for $35.00 each, with the plan to do a RAST hack for our bedroom.

RAST Chest
By a RAST hack I mean taking the plain pine RAST chest and turning it into something much more unique and pretty! If you use Pinterest a lot, chances are you know what I'm talking about and have seen these before. Now that we are making progress in our guest bedroom, it's now time for me to make a decision and move forward with this project and do my own RAST hack! I'm still not sure exactly how I want to make ours, but we have a large spare mirror that I'm hoping I can some how use or incorporate. That is, of course, if I can cut the mirror without breaking it! If not, I will need a plan B. Below I have included some other RAST hacks that I've seen and think have turned out great! If you're looking for new affordable nightstands, this option might be great for you as well!

Your comment just says "Sara" and I just found out today after looking at my email subscriptions who you were:) As for the campaign-style ones, I absolutely adore them as well. Unfortunately, Paul thinks they look like princess toy chests so since one will be his I probably won't being going that direction... men lol.

  4. Waterbeds are a bit of an evangelist thing; some people love them in a fanatical way, others don't care that much. They are good for people with allergies and can be a bit more adjustable than regular innerspring mattresses. best truck mattress
